Privacy Policy

How this website handles the information you send us.

We are Silverleaf Home Care. We provide nonmedical home care in the Austin, Texas area. This privacy policy describes how we collect, use, handle, and protect the information you share with us or that we collect on our website (silverleaf-homecare.com) and its subdomains (collectively the "Site"). From time to time we will update this policy as our practices around data protection change or as new privacy policies take effect.

Please note that we do not collect, process, use, or transmit any protected health information ("PHI") on this website as defined under The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA").

What we collect and how

Information you provide

When you use the forms on this Site (the contact form and the request for a free care assessment), we ask for certain information about you such as your full name, phone number, e-mail address, the ZIP code where services are needed, a preferred start date, and anything you write in a free text field. All of this information is voluntarily provided by you on the respective portion of our Site.

If you use the instant quote before requesting an assessment, your request also includes your answers to its three questions (the daily, mobility, and memory assistance needed), the schedule and weekly transportation miles you chose, the recommended level of care, and the estimate shown to you, so our team can follow up without asking you to repeat it all. The instant quote itself works entirely in your browser: nothing you choose is sent anywhere unless you submit the request form.

Because families often ask about care for a parent or another loved one, your answers and messages may include information about that person, including details about their health and care needs, what could be construed as "health information" as defined by the Federal Trade Commission. Health Information can be different than PHI and is anything that conveys information or enables an inference about a consumer's health. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing and what you are legally authorized to share by the individual or his or her authorized representative if you are sharing on behalf of others. If you share health information on another person then you represent and warrant that you have the authority to do so. A phone call is always available instead.

Information we collect automatically

To understand how families find us, the Site notes where your visit came from: the address of the page that linked you here, any campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source or gclid), the first page you opened, and the page you sent a form from. This is kept in your browser's session storage for the current visit only. It is not sent anywhere on its own; if you submit a form, it is sent with your form. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.

What we do not collect

This Site does not require an account to be created to access any portion of the Site and does not run advertising trackers. Fonts, images, and video are served from this Site itself, not from third party services. The Site does not set cookies, and it does not currently use an analytics service.

Where it goes

We use a third party to facilitate the collection of information. The information you provide on form submissions is transmitted by a third party form processing service, Formspree as of the effective date of this policy, which delivers it to our email at parker@silverleafeldercare.com. Information you share by calling or emailing us directly goes to the same team. Formspree's own privacy policy, at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy, governs its handling of submissions in transit.

How we use it

We use what you share to communicate with you, such as responding to your inquiry, arranging your free care assessment and calls, and following up about the care you asked about. Information we collect may be used to comply with our legal, judicial, regulatory, administrative, or other corporate requirements.

We may disclose your data to a third party if (i) we believe that disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or government request (including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements), (ii) to enforce our agreements and policies, (iii) to protect ourselves, our other customers, or the public from harm or illegal activities, or (iv) to respond to an emergency which we believe in good faith requires us to disclose data to assist in preventing a death or serious bodily injury. If we are required by law to disclose any of your data that directly identifies you, then we will use reasonable efforts to provide you with notice of that disclosure requirement, unless we are prohibited from doing so by statute, subpoena or court or administrative order.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it outside Silverleaf except with the service provider that transmits it, as described above, and as described in (i) to (iv) of this section.

We do not sell or disclose our clients' personal data to other businesses or third parties for monetary or other valuable considerations or share personal data for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising.

How we protect it

We take precautions to protect your information. We use appropriate physical, administrative, and technical security measures based on the sensitivity of the information that we collect, process, and store. Please note, however, that no website or internet transmission is completely secure, so while we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss or a data breach will never occur.

Retention

We keep the information you share for a period of time consistent with its original purpose of collection and subject to applicable law. For example, as a working practice: inquiry and assessment request records are kept while your inquiry is active and for up to 24 months afterward, so a returning family does not have to start over, and are then deleted. We may also retain your information during the period of time needed for us to pursue our legitimate business interests, conduct audits, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Subject to this policy and our data retention obligations under applicable law, you can request earlier deletion at any time using the contacts below.

Your choices

You can ask what information we hold about you or ask us to delete it by emailing parker@silverleafeldercare.com or calling (512) 831-5600. When contacting us please provide as much information as possible so that we can properly evaluate your request. All requests will be addressed as soon as reasonably possible but in any case, within the timeframe required based on the applicable regulations. If we cannot comply with your request we will provide you with a reason.

Children

This Site is intended for adults researching care for themselves or a family member. It is not directed at children, nor do we knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen without verifiable parental consent. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under thirteen without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under thirteen, please contact us using the information provided below.

Changes

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page.

The policy is effective as of October 27, 2026.
