Getting started

How care starts, and how it grows

  1. It starts with a conversation

Call us, or answer a few simple questions in the instant quote. Tell us about your loved one and what an ordinary day looks like now.

  2. A free care assessment

Before care begins, a free care assessment confirms the level of care, the schedule, staffing, and the cost. Until then, your instant quote is an estimate.

Questions families ask

Common questions

Is home care medical care?

No. Silverleaf Home Care is nonmedical. Caregivers help with daily living, from companionship and meals to bathing, getting around, and help with memory, as described in the four levels above.

How is the level of care decided?

The instant quote asks three simple questions: how much help is needed with daily tasks, with getting around, and with memory. The highest level any answer points to is the recommended level. A diagnosis alone does not set the level; it reflects the actual help and supervision needed.

What if my loved one needs more than one caregiver?

Custom quotes are available for unique cases. If your loved one needs two-person transfers or a mechanical lift, we can put together a custom quote and send two caregivers. Call us at (512) 831-5600 or request a free care assessment.

Is transportation included?

Transportation to appointments and outings is part of every level. Each week includes a set number of client transportation miles, and the instant quote shows the allowance and any extra. Transportation hours are included in scheduled caregiver hours.

Who are the caregivers?

Every Silverleaf Home Care caregiver is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or in training to become one, held to the same standard as our Silverleaf communities. More about our caregivers

Can my loved one keep the same caregiver if they move?

Yes. If your loved one moves into a Silverleaf community, the caregiver they know can come with them.
